Southland Honors Award Descriptions & Nominating Criteria 


The Los Angeles Leather Coalition seeks to facilitate communication and mutual understanding among different segments of the leather - affiliated community, as well as promote unity through cooperative endeavors that offer entertainment, education, social interaction, and community service.

The Southland Honors awards were created to nurture an attitude of integrity and community pride, preserve tradition, and to recognize community service.

The Chair and Vice chair of the coalition, and individuals who won voted awards in 2009 are not eligible in any category in 2009.  These people are are: Steve Ganzell, Richard Denton, Ms Diana, George Wong, Loren Berthelsen, Goddess Chal and Mistress Cyan.

The Southland Honors 2009 Award Winners:

Mentor of the year - George Wong

Jeff Burnam Community Service - Loren Berthelsen

TNG Award - Goddess Chal

Club of the Year - LA Band of Brothers

Business of the Year - Eagle LA

Fundraiser of the year - Mistress Cyan

Event of the Year - YARD LA

Person of the year - Ms Diana
